GoPro Media Mod for MISSION 1 gets an eight-pattern mic

GoPro has announced prices for its MISSION 1 Series cameras and the accessories that come with them. Audio is covered by two products: a new Media Mod with a built-in microphone and a Wireless Mic System.

Media Mod for MISSION 1 Series: $149.99

The Media Mod adds a microphone and extra ports to the camera. The built-in mic has eight pickup pattern options, so the width of the stereo image can be matched to the camera's field of view. The module also provides:

• a 3.5mm input for an external microphone;
• a 3.5mm line input for timecode sync;
• a 3.5mm headset port for monitoring levels;
• a micro-HDMI port with video output up to 4K60 for monitors, recorders or broadcast.

The Media Mod has its own mounting system, so the camera can be inserted or removed quickly.

Wireless Mic System: $159.99

This kit pairs with MISSION 1 cameras, GoPro HERO Black models, third-party cameras and phones. It records 24-bit/48 kHz audio with Dynamic Noise Reduction. The magnetic transmitters weigh 10 g each. Adjustable gain and a safety track recorded at -6 dB are included. Each mic runs for 6.5 hours, the charging case holds two more full charges, and the range is up to 150 metres.

Cameras and bundles

The MISSION 1 costs $599.99 and the MISSION 1 PRO $699.99, with lower prices for existing GoPro subscribers. Both use a new 50MP 1-inch sensor and the GP3 processor. The MISSION 1 PRO Creator Edition ($1,099.99) bundles the Media Mod, the Volta 2 battery grip and the Wireless Mic Complete Kit. The Ultimate Creator Edition ($1,199.99) adds the Fluid Pro AI gimbal and Light Mod 2.

MISSION 1, MISSION 1 PRO and the Grip Edition go on sale globally from May 28, 2026. The Creator editions and MISSION 1 PRO ILS follow in Q3 2026.
