Audio-Technica D50 Digital UHF Wireless Debuts at InfoComm 2026

At InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas, Audio-Technica introduced the D50 Digital UHF Wireless System. The company built it for environments where many wireless channels compete for limited spectrum, listing corporate AV, education, government, houses of worship, theater and other live sound work as target uses. The system is TAA-compliant, which allows it to be used in U.S. government installations.

RF and receiver details

The D50 tunes across up to 244 MHz, reduced to 138 MHz in the United States. Antenna handling can be switched between antenna combining diversity and maximal ratio combining (MRC) true diversity. A high-density mode fits up to 47 simultaneous frequencies into a single 6 MHz TV channel.

  • A half-rack receiver comes in a two-channel version with Audio-Technica Link or a four-channel Dante version.
  • Up to eight channels of Dante audio fit in one rack space.
  • Receivers support 96 kHz audio, redundancy and PoE+ power.
  • The system includes onboard spectrum analysis, integrated DSP and AES-256 encryption.
  • Wireless Manager software handles monitoring and control.

Transmitters

Handheld, bodypack and gooseneck base transmitters are part of the range. The handheld models accept interchangeable Artist Elite capsules. Kurt Van Scoy, Audio-Technica U.S. vice president of products, business alliances and marketing, said the D50 was designed for integrators working in demanding RF conditions, based on market research and customer feedback.

Other wireless news from the show

Audio-Technica also reported on a demonstration at its Technica House space in New York, where its DECT-based Engineered Sound Wireless platform ran 60 microphone channels close together without dropouts. In addition, Engineered Sound Wireless microphones are now part of Extron design solutions certified for Microsoft Teams, paired with Extron's DTP3 CrossPoint.
