Clubby Sports takes ad sales for All Over Bar The Cricket
Clubby Sports, an Australian sports media and entertainment network, has signed on to provide sales representation for the podcast All Over Bar The Cricket.
The show features Australian cricket figures James Brayshaw, Matthew Hayden and Greg Blewett. It publishes weekly through the summer and fortnightly in the off-season. Its format is cricket talk "the Aussie way", described as unfiltered and unapologetic.
Brayshaw is the host and co-founder of Best Life Media, which owns and publishes the podcast. He said the show is "a really cool mixture of strong opinions, great stories and long-standing mates who really enjoy each other's company, all based around the great game of cricket." In his view, it "makes enormous sense for Clubby Sports to represent the podcast."
New shows on the Clubby slate
The network also has a new podcast, Keeping Up With Sam Harper, due to launch in mid-November. Harper plays for the Melbourne Stars and Victoria as a wicket-keeper and batsman. He recently received his first call-up to the Australian Test squad for the tour of South Africa.
The social-first series Chasing Tayls with Will Taylor is returning. Taylor, a sports creator, puts athletes and big-name guests through a six-ball challenge with 16 runs needed for victory. Guests face his left-arm seam bowling, while Harper acts as umpire.
A third title, 200 PLUS, has journalist Nick Butler as host. He is joined by a rotating panel of experts who cover sports from cricket and racing to basketball, tennis and AFL. The summer return of the series brings five cricket-focused episodes. Special guests will join Butler to preview the ODI series against England and the four-Test series against New Zealand.
Clubby Sports is home to Dyl & Friends, Footy & Friends and Tradies. Footy & Friends ranked highest of its shows in the September Triton Australian Podcast ranker, at No 38, with 170,000 monthly listeners. The network says the larger slate strengthens its position in Australian sports media and gives brands more ways to reach audiences through podcasts, video, social media and talent-led partnerships.
