DJI Osmo Pocket 4 records four audio channels with DJI Mic

DJI has announced the Osmo Pocket 4, a new version of its 1-inch pocket gimbal camera. Among its changes is a direct link to DJI's wireless microphones for multi-channel sound. The camera will not be sold in the United States at launch because FCC authorization is still pending.

Four channels of audio

The Osmo Pocket 4 connects directly to DJI Mic transmitters, with no separate receiver. Supported models are the DJI Mic 2, Mic 3 and Mic Mini. The transmitters capture voices while the camera's built-in microphone array records ambient sound. The result is four audio channels that editing software can handle directly.

Built-in timecode is claimed to drift less than one frame over eight hours, to help sync several cameras in post.
