Wisycom and DPA name René Moerch to lead their wireless roadmap
Wisycom and DPA Microphones have set up a new leadership role that spans both companies: Group Product Director, Wireless. The first person to hold it is René Moerch, who started in the job immediately after the December 2025 announcement. His task is to run one product roadmap for wireless microphones, in-ear monitoring and RF distribution across the two brands.
The companies said the move follows a larger investment in wireless product development and is meant to tighten their joint management structure.
A DPA engineer with a wireless background
Moerch has worked at DPA for more than ten years. Nine of them were spent in product management and four were focused specifically on wireless development. He played a central part in creating the DPA N-Series Wireless System, and he has already cooperated with Wisycom for several years.
In the new role he will lead new product introductions both at Wisycom's headquarters in Italy and at DPA's sites in Denmark, working with engineering, product and leadership teams in person and remotely. Besides product strategy, he joins the management teams of both companies.
Who the products are for
According to the two firms, combining their engineering teams and market knowledge should help them serve customers in broadcast, location sound, live events, houses of worship, theater and corporate settings. Wisycom CEO Davide Morsiani and DPA CEO Kalle Hvidt Nielsen said in a joint statement that the position will let them offer more complete and integrated wireless products.
Moerch said the first results will be two new products to be revealed in the new year. One of them, he explained, came directly out of conversations with major broadcast customers, although it is meant for a range of uses. He also stressed that contact with distributors and users is a core part of his job.
