Rode Previews RODELink II UHF Wireless System at NAB 2026
Rode has announced RODELink II, a professional wireless microphone system that uses the company's own UHF transmission. It is intended for filmmakers, broadcasters and content creators, and Rode showed it for the first time at the NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, at booth C9316 in the Central Hall.
Built with Lectrosonics know-how
Rode and Lectrosonics both belong to The Freedman Group. Rode says RODELink II draws on decades of UHF development at Lectrosonics, with the goal of reliable operation and resistance to interference in crowded RF environments.
Kit contents and features
The system pairs two transmitters with a single receiver for dual-channel recording. Each transmitter comes with a broadcast-grade lavalier microphone that uses locking connectors; Rode names interviews, productions and live performances as typical uses. The company calls RODELink II a major update to its wireless audio line-up. Other features include:
- 32-bit float recording directly to a microSD card;
- a dedicated timecode input and output port for syncing audio with video;
- metal bodies for location work;
- three removable lithium-ion batteries in the box;
- an accessory set packed in a travel case.
Rode is also launching a set of cables alongside the system. Two timecode cables, 3.5mm TRS to 5-pin and 3.5mm TRS to BNC, have locking connectors and right-angle plugs. A 3.5mm TRS to XLRM cable and an XLRM splitter cable connect to professional recorders and can either sum the stereo channels or split them into two XLR outputs.
RODELink II and the new cables are described as coming soon. Rode has not yet announced prices or a release date.
