Logitech Yeti 2 adds 3D voice tracking and an AI denoiser
Logitech has launched the Yeti 2, a successor to the Blue Yeti. The original USB microphone came out in 2009 and became widely used by creators, podcasters and streamers. Logitech bought Blue Microphones eight years ago, and the Yeti 2 is the first full follow-up to that model. It starts at $159.99 and comes in two colours, black and white.
Sensor and noise filtering
The new microphone has a 3D proximity sensor. According to Logitech, it follows the position of the speaker and changes gain, EQ and pickup pattern in real time.
An AI-based denoiser is also built in. It filters background sounds such as keyboard clicks, mouse clicks and fan noise.
Display and controls
The Yeti 2 keeps a USB connection, like the original. New is a 1.3-inch colour LED display. Its interface shows an 8-bit Yeti mascot, which gives short status information and tips. Together with a dial, the display lets users change settings and switch presets without installing software.
For deeper control, the microphone works with Logitech G Hub. There users get:
- more detailed settings;
- Blue VO!CE voice profiles shared by the community;
- the option to upload a custom avatar.
