Shure SLX-D+ Brings Wide Tuning and Remote Control at NAMM 2026

Shure presented the SLX-D+ Wireless Microphone System at NAMM 2026 in Anaheim on January 21, 2026. It is an expanded version of the SLX-D line and is aimed at live performance, houses of worship, schools, content creators, newsgathering crews and broadcast and video production, including setups run by experienced volunteers rather than full-time engineers.

Main features

All components tune across up to 138 MHz, depending on region, so one system can be used across several frequency bands and a whole country without stocking different variants. ShowLink Ease, derived from the ShowLink technology in Shure's Axient Digital range, keeps a two-way link between receiver and transmitter. Once paired, the transmitter reconnects at every power-up, and RF setup and parameter changes can be made remotely.

  • When interference appears, the system finds a clean frequency and moves both receiver and transmitter to it automatically.
  • Digital feedback reduction detects and suppresses feedback.
  • AES-256 encryption secures the audio.
  • The Wireless Workbench Mobile app connects over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to adjust gain, lock or unlock transmitters, check batteries, run frequency scans and view meters.

Receivers and scaling

SLX-D+ works with existing SLX-D equipment and adds a new half-rack dual receiver. Three quad receivers can be cascaded over RF to form a 12-channel system without extra accessories. Dual and quad receivers also offer audio summing, which combines channel levels and mixes them down to one or two outputs to match the available mixer inputs.

Nick Wood, Shure's associate vice president of marketing and product management, said the aim was to make features such as wide tuning and remote management available to a broader group of users. Components were scheduled to ship in February 2026 in handheld, bodypack and portable configurations, with systems starting at $749. Rechargeable batteries and chargers are sold separately.
