Elgato adds native Voicemod voice changers to Wave Link
Elgato and Voicemod have widened their partnership so that Voicemod's voice changers and soundboards run directly inside Elgato's software. The announcement was made on March 11, 2026, and both features became available the same day on Elgato Marketplace for Windows and macOS.
Voice changers as Wave Link effects
Free and paid Voicemod voices can now be picked from Elgato Marketplace and installed into Wave Link in a few clicks, where they work as VST effects on any microphone. The catalogue ranges from military radio voices to anime characters and dragons, with more promised, and each effect has its own themed control panel. The Voicemod application itself is no longer needed.
Before this change, mic audio had to pass through Voicemod, then through Wave Link, and only then into Discord or OBS Studio. With the voices running inside Wave Link, that chain is shorter. The effects can also be applied to channels other than the microphone, for example to change incoming voice chat. Owners of Elgato's latest Wave hardware, built on the Wave FX Processor, can send the altered voice to apps like Discord without virtual audio devices and listen to themselves with the effects at very low latency.
Soundboards on Stream Deck
Complete Voicemod soundboards, filled with meme clips and themed packs from fantasy to shooter games, can be bought on Marketplace and installed onto Stream Deck as ready profiles. For now they are designed for 15-key Stream Deck models, and Elgato says further themes and device support will follow. Through Wave Link each soundboard can be routed to chosen destinations, such as the stream, voice chat or headphones, with separate volume for each. Elgato also noted that Wave Link costs nothing and works with any mic or audio interface.
Voicemod chief executive Jaime Bosch said this is the first time the company's voice technology runs natively inside tools creators already use. To mark the launch, Voicemod offered 30% off all its voice changers for a limited time.
