DJI Mic Mini 2S adds 32-bit float recording and AI noise canceling
DJI has introduced the Mic Mini 2S, an updated version of its smallest wireless microphone system. It follows the earlier Mic Mini models and keeps the lightweight build and compact storage of the line, while adding internal recording, new AI noise canceling and a redesigned charging case. DJI has published the main specifications and a base price, but so far the model is listed only outside the United States.
Recording and backup
The headline change is internal recording in 32-bit float. The system offers up to 28 hours of internal storage. DJI positions this onboard recording as a backup, so a copy of the audio is kept on the system itself in addition to the wireless signal.
Sound processing
- AI noise canceling with two strength levels, designed to isolate vocals precisely from the surrounding sound.
- Three voice tone presets.
Connectivity and charging
The Mic Mini 2S can grow into a larger setup. It supports four transmitters with one receiver, and the link works across generations. It can also connect directly to DJI's OsmoAudio ecosystem. The charging case has been redesigned for faster charging and longer operating time.
Price and the US market
The base model is priced at 99 euros. The product does not appear on DJI's US website. That fits a pattern tied to the company's dispute with the FCC: under the current restrictions, DJI cannot sell new products in the United States, and in many cases this has also applied to products that are not drones. Whether and when the Mic Mini 2S might reach US buyers has not been announced.
