Corsair HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS gets a 10mm broadcast-grade mic

Corsair announced the HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS on October 8, 2026, the newest high-end model in its HS80 headset series, built for competitive play. It became available the same day through the Corsair webstore and authorised retailers, with a two-year warranty. Corsair did not list a price in the announcement and refers buyers to its regional websites.

The microphone

The headset's boom mic uses a 10mm capsule that Corsair describes as broadcast grade, with a built-in pop filter to soften plosive sounds. Flipping the mic up mutes it. On a PC fitted with a supported NVIDIA GeForce RTX card, NVIDIA Broadcast's AI mic enhancement can be enabled through Corsair iCUE to reduce keyboard noise, fan hum and room ambience.

Drivers and audio

The 50mm drivers use a non-Newtonian laminate. Corsair explains that after loud sounds such as gunshots, residual vibration in a diaphragm can hide quieter details; the new material helps the diaphragm settle faster so footsteps and reloads stay audible. Dolby Atmos spatial audio is supported on PC through the Dolby Access app. Nick Bourne, Corsair's vice president of gaming devices, said the tuning was designed to highlight footsteps and cut through secondary noise.
