Corsair HS35 v3 headsets: light, with detachable boom mics
Corsair presented the HS35 v3, the newest generation of its lightweight gaming headset line, at Computex 2026 in two versions: a wired model at $49.99 and a wireless model at $79.99. Both are on sale now in black and white.
Microphone and controls
Each version has a detachable omnidirectional boom microphone. Controls for muting and for volume sit on the earcup itself.
Weight and comfort
Low weight is a central part of the design. The wired HS35 v3 weighs 230g (8.11 oz), while the wireless model weighs 250g (8.82 oz). For comparison, the wired version is more than 70g lighter than the HyperX Cloud III at 308g, and the wireless one is about 40g lighter than the Turtle Beach Atlas Air at 292.5g. Logitech's G325, at 212g, remains lighter still.
Both headsets use a new floating headband design: an elastic strap attached to each side carries the weight, so the rigid band sits above the head rather than on it. The frame is lightweight plastic, and the earpads are memory foam wrapped in breathable mesh fabric.
Audio and connectivity
- Custom 50mm neodymium dynamic drivers
- Frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, 32-ohm impedance
- Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio compatibility
- Wired model: universal 3.5mm connection
- Wireless model: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth and a wired option
- Wireless battery life: up to 30 hours over 2.4GHz at 50% volume
The two models share the same 50mm drivers and the same detachable microphone. They differ in connection options, in weight by 20g and in price by $30, and both are offered in black and in white.
