Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition sends recordings to the phone itself
Plaud has announced the Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition, a new version of its card-type AI voice recorder Plaud Note Pro. It costs 29,700 yen with tax, goes on sale in Japan on October 29 and comes in silver and black.
The company showed the recorder at a presentation of new products and AI features on October 21. It keeps the ease of use of the existing Note Pro and changes two things: the microphones and the way recordings reach the phone.
The recorder carries four Super Mic units, one at each corner of the body, each with a signal-to-noise ratio of 68 dB. It uses AI directional pickup, and an enhanced voice mode records speech from as far as 5 meters away. Plaud lists the card at 30 g and 2.99 mm thick, with up to 50 hours of recording.
With the Flow feature, after the user presses the stop button, the recording is saved to local storage. Over Bluetooth the recorder looks for a nearby iPhone and, when it finds one, sends the file to the app in the background. If the user set it up beforehand, transcription and summarization start automatically. Nobody has to open the app or press a transfer button.
Plaud presented the card alongside Plaud One, an earphone-type recorder with a 4G LTE eSIM and an AI agent. Plaud One costs 44,000 yen and goes on sale in limited quantities within the year.
At the same event Plaud said the total number of users of its devices has passed 3 million, and that more than 1,000 physical stores in Japan carry them. Naoyuki Suzuki, Plaud's head of sales, announced the figure.
